The Wild Womb: Menstrual Education, Health & Sovereignty training recently took place in Chinchón, Spain. Organized by Symbiotic Roots and supported by the Erasmus+ Programme, the initiative brought together participants from across Europe for a week of learning, exchange, and creative exploration.
Throughout the training, participants explored menstrual health, body literacy, cyclicality, and care through a variety of experiential and artistic methods. The activities combined nature-based exercises, storytelling, movement, and reflection, creating a safe and inclusive space for dialogue and shared understanding.

Discussions on menstrual taboos encouraged meaningful intercultural and intergenerational exchange, highlighting different perspectives and experiences around menstruation. The group also reflected on the deep connection between body, territory, and Earth, translating these reflections into creative outputs such as collages and collective performances.
The programme concluded with a ritual of intentions for the future, joined by women from the Valdelaguna Women’s Association, strengthening the link between the training experience and the local community.
Wild Womb offered participants an opportunity to connect, learn, and reflect on the cultural, social, and ecological dimensions of menstrual health. Europamente is proud to have contributed to this initiative and to continue supporting projects that promote wellbeing, equality, and holistic education across Europe.
