Training course on active citizenship and youth participation
Are you passionate about empowering young people and strengthening democracy? Do you want to help foster active citizenship and increase youth participation in civil society and politics? Then this training opportunity in Bușteni, Romania, is for you!
From April 5th to 12th, 2025, a dynamic and hands-on training course will bring together 25 youth workers for 8 days of intensive learning, exchange, and empowerment. Hosted by the experienced team at A.R.T. Fusion – Antonia Pîslariu, Alex Tomescu, and Victoria Carasava – the training will be held in Romania and is designed to build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to become multipliers of democratic engagement among young people.
This training aims to equip youth workers with a deep understanding of democratic values, rights, and responsibilities, while providing practical tools to inspire and mobilize youth in their communities. Through non-formal education, experiential learning, and creative methods like theatre and storytelling, participants will learn how to effectively support young people in becoming active citizens and future leaders.
The objectives are clear:
Educate youth workers on the principles of democracy and active citizenship.
Empower them to guide young people in political and civic engagement.
Support the creation of sustainable youth networks and communities that encourage leadership and participation.
The training is the result of continuous development, shaped by lessons learned from past initiatives. It focuses on long-term impact and the power of experiential learning, all within a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Arrival is scheduled for April 4th and departure for April 13th. Full participation throughout the entire training is mandatory to ensure a meaningful group experience and personal learning journey.
